We collect personally identifiable information, also known as PII, like names, home town, email addresses, etc., when voluntarily submitted by our visitors. Information is collected when you leave a memorial, accept the challenge, request information or a speaker, or make a donation.
Accepting the Challenge
Information you provide when leaving a memorial or accepting the challenge will be published to the web site as indicated on those forms. This information will also be used to add you to our email list.
Requesting a Speaker
Information you submit when requesting information or a speaker is used to fulfill your request, and is not stored on our web site.
Making a Donation
Donations to Mariah’s Challenge are collected through reputable third-party payment systems. Information related to your donation is not shared except with those parties required to complete your donation transation.
Mariah’s Challenge is connected through several social networks. Information you provide on social network pages is governed by the privacy policies of those networks.
Remember, it is always prudent to consider any posts carefully before submitting them. Children should always ask for assistance and approval from a parent or guardian before posting any information on Mariah’s Challenge or any other web site.
If you have left a memorial or acceptance and need it removed from the web site, please email firstname.lastname@example.org with your name, home town, and the date of the memorial or acceptance for removal. If you wish to opt-out from our mailing list, please email email@example.com with the email address you wish to have removed or follow the opt-out instructions in one of our email messages. These opt-out instructions are kept current and all opt-out requests are honored.
The Mariah’s Challenge web site uses log-files and other tracking technology to track web site usage and general traffic patterns. This includes information such as operating system, visitor IP address, web browser version, and other technical information. This does not include any PII. This information is collected automatically and only used in aggregate form. You may not opt-out from sharing this non-personally identifiable information.
Sharing of Information
We may share information with governmental agencies when: (1) permitted or required by law; or, (2) trying to protect against or prevent actual or potential fraud or unauthorized transactions; or, (3) investigating fraud which has already taken place. The information is not provided to these companies for marketing purposes.

Your personally identifiable information is kept secure. Only authorized employees, agents and contractors (who have agreed to keep information secure and confidential) have access to this information. All emails and newsletters from this site allow you to opt out of further mailings.
